JavaFX vs Silverlight vs Flex
Flex – extension of the Flash platform leveraging experience and knowledge from J2EE ColdFusion. Apollo runtime bring back the desktop thin client back into the picture. 2+ years. Currently deployed on sites such as Yahoo! Maps and Google Finance.
Silverlight – first announced as "Sparkle" about 2 years ago. Active IxD involvement. Developed from acquired Creative Expressions vector based drawing tool. Officially, launched at Mix07 and part of the WPF.
JavaFX – formerly know as F3 and showed up on the scene last Nov? Um... any drawing tools? Not that I can find. Screenshots, looks like the old Java applet demos. Strongest selling point? Not as clumsy as Javascript. Yeah... Good luck with that.
